Job Title: Drafting Technician II
Experience: Mid-Level (5 or more years’ experience)

Salary Range: $24-$30
Job Description:
This position involves performing and managing the completion of maps from survey data from field crew data collector files, field sketches, digital photographs, and reference documents. Typical projects include:
- Easement surveys
- Topographic surveys: Generate surfaces and contours
- Boundary surveys: Prepare plat of survey
- ALTA/NSPS Surveys
- Plan and profile surveys
- Perform quality control checks of plats and drawings prepared by other technicians
The major objectives are the precision and quality of work, meeting the project schedules within budget, and providing outstanding service to our clients.
Position Responsibilities include:
- Plan, organize, and review various work projects including preliminary and final calculations, drawings, plans, and maps
- Quality Control
- Provide status reports to supervisor(s)
- Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel
- Time management for multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to lift 20lbs plus occasionally
Desired Skills and Expertise:
- Technical degree or certification is preferred but not required
- Experience using Carlson Survey and/or AutoCAD Civil 3-D preferred
- Experience using field to finish coding preferred
- Experience with Trimble Business Center preferred
- Worked with a Land Surveying or Civil Engineering company a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail

- Ability to take and follow instructions
- Strong work ethic
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one
